Colin Chambers, CPA, CA, is a Partner with MNP’s Tax Services group in Toronto. Drawing on more than a decade of experience, Colin works with owner-managed businesses, helping them strategically manage taxation so they can achieve their short- and long-term goals.

Working closely with clients, Colin plans and implements tax strategies for a variety of situations, including corporate reorganizations, estate freezes, asset transfers and sales or purchases of private corporations. He also assists with succession and estate planning. Colin’s experience includes working with businesses in a broad range of industries, including manufacturing and distribution, technology, hospitality, retail and private equity.

Colin received a Bachelor of Business Administration (Hons.) degree, with Distinction, from Wilfrid Laurier University in 2003. He is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA), qualifying as a Chartered Accountant (CA) in 2005. In 2016, he earned the Financial Planning Standards Council’s Level 1 certificate in financial planning.

Colin has been an in-residence tutor and group study leader for CPA Canada’s In-depth Tax course since 2010. In the community, he is on the board of Surrey Place Centre, serving as treasurer and a member of the finance committee.
