    Partner, National Leader - Insurance Advisory

    Craig Burkart, CPA, CA, IFA, CFF, CIP is a Partner with MNP Valuation, Forensics and Litigation Support services in Calgary, working closely with clients to provide a wide range of financial advisory services. Drawing on more than two decades of experience, Craig helps businesses recuperate and carry on successfully after loss. His services include insurance claim and damage quantification; loss measurement and business interruption determination; physical damage, extra expense and inventory insurance claims; disaster recovery assistance and lost profits for litigation. Craig is the National Leader of Insurance Advisory at MNP.

    Craig is qualified as an expert witness by the Court of Queen’s Bench of Alberta and has given expert witness testimony internationally. He also is an author and regular presenter at conferences and seminars across Canada.

    Craig obtained his Bachelor of Commerce degree in 1995 from the University of Calgary. He is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA), qualifying as a Chartered Accountant (CA) in 1997. He is Certified in Financial Forensics (CFF through the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA) and qualified for the Chartered Insurance Professional Designation (CIP) in 2004. Craig is a designated specialist in Investigative and Forensic Accountant (IFA) through the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants and obtained a graduate diploma in Investigative and Forensic Accounting (DIFA) from the University of Toronto Rotman School of Management in 2003. He is a Registered Private Investigator.
