Stewart Henderson, CPA, CA, TEP, is a Senior Tax Associate in MNP’s Tax Services group in Calgary. Stew works with private businesses and families in business who need strong advice and innovative solutions to help them effectively manage complex, high-value estates as well as ensure the success of their businesses.

Stew is experienced at helping businesses grow and draws on his broad business background and personal knowledge of the challenges entrepreneurial owners and families face to help them build successful enterprises. His services include estate and succession planning. Stew is especially adept at helping clients transition to the next generation or, in cases where that is not the goal, to monetize their operations.

With strong knowledge of Canadian tax laws, Stew works to maximize clients’ net worth and to effectively meet their unique estate objectives, whether that is preserving the business interest for future generations or tax-effectively dividing up the estate in a way that preserves family harmony. He has lectured extensively on tax and estate issues, and is a trained facilitator for the course Road Map for Entrepreneurial Families™.

Stew was designated a Chartered Accountant (CA) in 1976 and received the Trust and Estate Practitioner (TEP) designation in 1999. He is committed to continuing education as has taken numerous courses including several Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants’ In-Depth Tax courses. Stew is a member of the Canadian Tax Foundation and Director of the non-profit organization M Private Residence.
