Shaila Mehta, CPA, CA, is a Partner with MNP’s Public Companies team in Mississauga. Drawing on three decades of experience serving large and small public and private clients in a wide range of industries, including manufacturing, technology and cannabis, Shaila is committed to her clients’ success and to developing long-lasting, quality relationships.

Shaila offers valuable insights and advice on a wide range of accounting issues, providing her clients with solid business recommendations in a timely manner. Her expertise includes executing audit and advisory engagements using International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Accounting Standards for Private Enterprises (ASPE) accounting frameworks.

Shaila is a subject matter expert in the cannabis sector and is an in-demand conference speaker, providing insights on audits, establishing internal controls and regulatory compliance.

Shaila earned a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) from York University in 1989. She is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA), qualifying as a Chartered Accountant (CA) in 1990. She is active in her community and serves as a board member for the Responsible Gaming Commission of Canada and Ontario.
