AJ Gill

National leader, Ag Risk Management Resources

AJ is a member of MNP’s Agriculture Risk Management Resources group in the Okanagan. Working out of the Firm’s Kelowna office, AJ’s passion for agriculture and for helping farmers has engaged him throughout his career.

AJ, who moved to Canada from India in 1988, grew up in a farming family. His hands-on agricultural background has given him deep insights into the challenges, issues and opportunities available to farmers.

A seasoned leader with nearly two decades of combined experience in the federal and B.C. governments, AJ was instrumental in the transfer of the federal government’s AgriStability program to the B.C. Ministry of Agriculture. His most recent role before joining MNP was General Manager with the B.C. Ministry of Agriculture.

AJ is a strong believer in giving back to the community. As founding director of the Hope and Heal Foundation, a charitable organization established in his mother’s memory, AJ has helped raise more than $100,000 for the B.C. Cancer Foundation, and more than $100,000 for the KARIS Society to support women living with mental health and addiction challenges. AJ sits on the B.C. Cancer Foundation Advisory Committee and on the KGH Foundation board and chairs the KGH Foundation’s Strategic Development Committee.
